Purpose and Description:
The 10th-grade CTE Graphic Design students have embarked on a creative journey known as “The Library Project” in which they will merge artistry with functionality to design a space at school. This ambitious endeavor showcases the students’ learned concepts during the class and allows them to use this knowledge as creative solutions.
The main purpose of The Library Project is to introduce students to the graphic design principles, apply them to 3D spaces and enhance the ambiance and utility of our school’s library. The focal point of this endeavor is the strategic transformation of the four window panes connecting the Fit Bar Café to the library. The aim is to elevate the current status of the library into a relevant and comfortable space within the school where students can use for their different academic activities.
Through meticulous planning and collaboration, students have conceptualized designs that reflect the essence of the school’s library while also making it really comfortable and visually appealing. Each of the 4 window panes serves as a canvas for students to unleash their creativity, with the overarching goal of creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere within the library. Likewise, these designs are going to be crafted with the tools that are present at the Fabrication Lab. Furthermore, the students are also learning how to apply an existing brand to applications.
